BetterHelp is a mobile app and web service that matches its 100,000 users with qualified mental health professionals based on answers to a short intro survey and the user's preferences. The optionally anonymous chat rooms allow users to be more forthcoming than they would during a typical face-to-face session. The app and web service are 100 percent HIPAA compliant to ensure that information is safely and securely transferred and users have the option of deleting each message permanently from the chat history if they so choose. BetterHelp alters the means by which individuals seek help to conquer life's challenges with the ease of staying at home. BetterHelp matches users to an available counselor who fits their objectives, preferences, and the type of issues at hand.
