Founded in 2008 by three childhood friends, WiziShop was created in order to make ecommerce accessible to the people. Gregory Beyrouti, René Cotton and Cédric Piazza wanted to create an all-in-one solution that provided e-merchants with everything they need to succeed. Previously owners of a web agency, specialized in SEO, they had come across a client who needed to create an online store without it costing him thousands of dollars. He suggested that they create him an online store for free, and that in return he would give them a percentage of his sales. A bold suggestion! But one that inspired the creation of WiziShop as it stands today, and is what makes it unique from other ecommerce solutions on the market. Grégory, René and Cédric went for it, launching WiziShop, a financially and technically accessible solution for the people. 5 years later in 2013, the team raised €300,000 from some of the biggest names in the tech industry in France: Xavier Niel (Free) and Jérémie Berrebi from the investment fund Kima Ventures, Marc Simoncini (Meetic) with Jaina Capital and Jacques-Antoine Granjon (VeePee). This investment allowed WiziShop to invest in the growth of its team and the development of the solution, to ensure that the platform exceeded the expectations of those entering the ecommerce market. Now a team of over 50 members, based in Nice, France, WiziShop puts its heart and soul into the development of the business and the success of its e-merchants. With their previous SEO experience, the founders of WiziShop have been equipped to make it the most powerful SEO-optimized ecommerce platform on the market.
