Spodly will be a combination of Facebook Ebay Groupon Shopify with a new innovative Social Bidding platform (users can bid to get products they love with out any money, but with the number of friends they have). We have checked the working of this bidding platform in early 2011, with Likebids.com which we developed along with our US partner. And that project got featured on Mashable ( http://mashable.com/2011/10/29/3-startups-bring-new-angles-to-social-buying/ ). The bidding of that project worked with Facebook likes, but as Facebook changed their ToS, with not to use Facebook Likes for commercial purpose, we have to shut down the website. With big changes, we are introducing Spodly with social bidding, social network, e-commerce and group buying. Users can make friends, chat with them, share with them and can shop with friends, like they go for shopping in some shopping malls. You can get suggestions from your friends for shopping and the best part is, you will be shown a review by a user, whom you know in the offline world - Social Reviews (which will increase the faith of a user to buy a product). It works on the principle like, if A=B and B=C, then A=C, means there is a relation between every one. And if no Social Reviews are present, we will provide them with our innovative Live Reviews, where a user who bought a product can help other buyers in live chat, by giving their reviews about the product. Unlike other E-commerce websites, these 2 reviews will help buyers to get only good quality products and services. On Live Reviews, the users identity will be private to keep the privacy of users. About our innovative Social Bidding - This will help users to get a product they love to have for maximum discounts or even free. There are 3 advantages for merchants in using social bidding for selling their products. Merchants can initiate group selling for their products They will receive word of mouth marketing for their products. And unlike other group selling websites like Groupon.com, merchants can again use this users for repeated marketing and that too for free. We are trying to show the working principle of Social Bidding, with our pre marketing using iPAd mini, currently on our website.
