Shockwave Motors is an SAE certified national and international motorcycle manufacturer. We make electric cars cool by providing a high performance, three-wheeled, three-passenger, all-electric roadster that’s pollution free, economical, provides unprecedented charging convenience is safe and fun to drive. We are focused on the triple bottom-line of People, Planet, and Profit. Range Anxiety is worry on the part of a person driving an electric car that the battery will run out of power before the destination or a suitable charging point is reached. It’s the most often cited reason for people not buying an electric vehicle. Additional pain points include dependency on oil and air pollution. We have designed and built a more efficient and affordable electric vehicle for today’s commuter. The roadster has a single charge range of over 100 miles and has ability to be completely recharged from any standard 120-volt outlet while the commuter is at home or work (approximately 8 hours) providing a daily range of 200 miles – no additional infrastructure is needed. No other electric vehicle, with our level of performance, has this capability. The roadster charges in about half the time of a Leaf when plugged into a Level ll Station. Reduced dependency on oil leads to a reduction in greenhouse gasses and improved air quality. The pollution free roadster’s direct operating costs are less than two cents per mile. The roadster will cost less than the average price of a used vehicle (in the United States), after the federal rebate is applied. With the first 500 Roadster sales, the annual environmental impact is anticipated to be a savings of 15,000 barrels of crude oil and avoidance of almost 3,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions.
