Powerstrap is a based in Hong Kong, founded by passionate engineers and experts with strong development backgrounds for watches, electronics, mechanical design and batteries. Inspired by the growing applications of smartwatches originated by Pebble, the team immediately took note of the limitations in battery with most smartwatches. An initial smartstrap prototype was developed to boost battery by utilizing the watch strap and buckle, with Pebble’s support, the development led to collaboration to create Pal – GPS and Battery Smartstrap for Pebble. Powerstrap will continue to explore solutions to elevate performance and functionalities for smartwatches.
