Open crowd-reporting platform for local communities to share photos of news with multiple journalists, providing authentication and verification in real-time. Our mission is to build a free and open platform that facilitates trusted communication with journalists using photos. Enabling local communities to report and share what’s happening with multiple journalists in their city. Our aim is to make it easier for a single journalist to trust what they see, generate content from crowd-powered news and to engage the community in the story from the moment it’s being created. We’re building a real-time platform that authenticates users and validates photos and allowing photos to be shared via simple email (you don't need to download an app nor be part of an existing social network) - what this means is that if someone can can send a photo by email - they can now report on local news in a trusted way with multiple journalists. We want to create more awareness for protests, advocates and local community events by sharing original sized photos with local journalists as they happen and providing an open copyright photo licence to facilitate journalists using photos immediately. We will be advancing our technology to work in low-band internet areas while still being easily accessible by email, mms or web. Our research is focusing on ways to use technology to enable communication across all levels of devices while still providing trust and validation for journalists. Our patents applied are focused in the area of providing authentication and verification for anonymous users - so that we can protect sources that need to be anonymous. Thanks for reading Shane
