The gig economy has been around for a long time, even if most people don’t realize it. Instead of a traditional, in-office, full-time job with a single company, gig workers work as short-term, temporary, remote or independent contractors for one or a variety of employers. The pro’s of gig work are flexibility, agency, and diversity of work and learning options. However, gig workers face constant challenges of lack of access to affordable benefits and the constant search for that next gig. We are building a technology platform and ecosystem that turns gig work into gig careers. The platform connects gig workers with and gig employers, validates work history and qualifications, simplifies the onboarding and management of gig workers and reduces the cost and time involved with getting workers into a gig.
