About Ambient New Tab
Ambient New Tab turns Chrome's new tab into live wallpaper: a calm, moving scene every time you open a tab. Choose from 50+ live scenes, including a koi pond, fireflies in a night forest, an eagle ray gliding over the flats, Monet's garden, and a fogged window where affirmations get written by hand. Scenes follow your mouse and can move to your music. Many scenes come with soft sounds (night crickets, lapping water, high-altitude wind) that you can turn up, down or off. There's a built-in focus timer too, 25 or 50 minutes. In Koi Pond, a new koi swims in every few minutes while you work. The search bar stays built in, so the new tab still does its job, and it never tracks your browsing. 5 scenes are free, sound included. Pro unlocks everything for $5.99 a month, $39.99 a year, or $59 once to keep it forever. New scenes are added every week. Built by a solo founder who wanted opening a tab to feel calm instead of cluttered.
