Totsguide – a web portal to help every child’s comprehensive development The Track and Act program and App in Totsguide helps parents track the developmental milestones of their children from 4 months to 5 years. This can be used for any child – typically developing, with developmental delays, as well as premature babies. The questionnaire takes about 5-7 minutes to fill by parents after creating a profile for their child. The program screens the child’s development in 4 major developmental domains – socio-emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development and indicates if there are areas where the child needs further skill development. Parents can easily keep track of their child’s development through 5 years and consult their pediatrician, if and when required. This program aims to bridge the gap between lack of time during professional practice to identify developmental delays and early intervention. The SCoPE program in Totsguide, which stands for Social, Communication, Play and Emotional, is designed to help parents to work on the delays in these areas in their children. The delays in these areas of development are not easily identifiable, but helping the child in developing these areas will have a great impact in their overall development and their ability to adjust well with their surroundings, family, and peers. This program is based on study results that suggest that a structured parent-based intervention is a very effective early intervention strategy for children with developmental delays. This program is especially highly beneficial to families in regions where there is lack of trained professionals, but at the same time, can well complement any center-based intervention programs.
