Gearbottle

Introducing Gearbottle

Tuesday, January 20, 2015

Today, Gearbottle has officially re-launched their site. The newest version features a completely remastered user interface for both the search engine and the news division of the site. This is Gearbottle’s most user friendly rendition yet. The renewed search engine allows for users to search by not just shop name and/or geographic location, but also by type of shop (ex: sneaker boutiques, skate shops, etc). Each shop has a dedicated page that lists their location and contact information as well as their hours of operation. In addition, each shop page now features an RSS feed of their blog or website, so you can see the latest news going on at a given shop. Finally, select shop pages even include a walk-in feature, allowing users to take a virtual walk through of stores. The news side of Gearbottle’s site has also been remastered to make for a more user friendly experience. The new grid-style layout allows for users to see all of the latest and featured stories at once. The update also makes it easier for users to discover other stories they are likely interested in by displaying three “related stories” on each post page. The new look also includes an improved trending stories section. The latest version of Gearbottle is the culmination of months of hard work by the development team as well as help from the many shop and brand owners who helped the company grow. The company is excited to invite the entire streetwear community to check out the new site. Gearbottle is the world’s first search engine designed to cater to the streetwear industry. Many shops and boutiques with exclusive and heavily sought after gear can be hard to find. Gearbottle was created to solve this problem, allowing for anyone to discover these hidden gems. Over the past three years their search database has grown continuously and now features over 2,000 shops from all over the globe. In 2013, Gearbottle expanded to become a media outlet for the industry. Drawing content from the vast network of shop and brand owners, the news division provides consistent updates on everything going on within the streetwear world.. Gearbottle separates itself from common style blogs by also publishing original content including exclusive interviews with designers and other industry individuals.
