All content on Backspace has a lifespan. All public posts start with 24 hours remaining, but can be increased through user interaction. Every time your friends LIKE or comment on your post, time is added to the lifespan of that post. The more popular the content, the longer the content will be around, maxing out at 48 hours. Additionally, when your friends LIKE or comment on your posts, you also become more "influential". If a user has more "influence" on the Backspace, that user has the ability to add a larger amount of time to the lifespan of a friend's post than what a newer Backspace user would add; giving that user more influence over the lifespan of content of other users. For example, a new user adds 2 minutes to a to the lifespan of a friend's post, but a more "influential" user on Backspace could add 25 minutes to the lifespan of a post.
