Topik is the first social app created exclusively for the rapidly expanding mobile VR segment. Developed by startup Vertecx, the Topik VR beta release is now available on the Daydream platform and with support for additional platforms planned for 2018. Topik's beta release includes 192 user avatar customizations, themed 360 environments, integrated YouTube player, and a combo voice and controller based interface in VR. The mobile app enables users to listen and interact with discussions happening in VR. Topik also offers a groundbreaking way to integrate Twitter and VR. Users can access their Twitter feeds, create VR chatrooms based on tweets/trending hashtags, and invite users to join the discussion. Founded in 2016, Vertecx is a seed stage startup based in Los Angeles with additional team members operating from Silicon Valley and Shanghai, China.
