Ripple is a new method to share interesting and relevant content with your community and beyond. The platform allows for an effective way to spread information about local events and news, yet simultaneously is capable of spreading entertaining and informative content across the world. Start a ripple by typing a short message. This ripple is sent to a number of people near you with the ripple application. These people choose whether or not to spread the ripple to other people nearby them. Users can view map representations of ripples to see where they were propagated watch them spread. Ripple digitizes the phenomenon of "spreading by word of mouth" and allows for content to spread so long as people find it relevant. How far will your ripples spread?
