We think of ourselves as a technology startup, but we don't write code or build apps. Our first product is Power Toothpaste, the world’s first toothpaste to contain caffeine. We treat toothpaste with the spirit of innovation seen much more commonly in Silicon Valley and far too rarely in the corporate behemoths of personal care. Toothpaste is a technology product that helps people clean and care for their teeth… but we believe a toothpaste can and should do more. With Power Toothpaste, you get a rush while you brush. Compared to coffee, which takes up to an hour to fully absorb through the stomach, Power Toothpaste begins working immediately, absorbing through the gums and mouth, and providing a quick boost before you’re even finished brushing. This toothpaste will still leave your teeth clean and mouth fresh – just like a standard toothpaste. Power Toothpaste was founded by Dan Meropol, a millennial entrepreneur looking to insert a jolt into the multibillion-dollar oral care industry. Dan Meropol is the founder of Power Toothpaste. After learning from an ADA study that only half of Americans floss daily and half of Americans only brush once per day, Dan set out to find a way to get people to take better care of their teeth. Dan spoke to his friend Ian about the problem he was trying to solve – and Ian suggested a caffeinated toothpaste. Ian was shocked to find that there was not a caffeinated toothpaste on the market, and began formulating and perfecting what would become Power Toothpaste. After Ian shared the first version of his caffeinated toothpaste with Dan, and then friends and family, it quickly became evident to Dan that this toothpaste could be something real. Their friends demanded it and wanted to buy it, but Ian’s kitchen set-up couldn’t meet anywhere close to the demand they were receiving. It became clear that this caffeinated toothpaste needed to become a real product, and Dan took it upon himself to turn Power Toothpaste into a bonafide business. After a year of hard work, Power Toothpaste is ready to hit the shelves and Dan is ready to bring this toothpaste to the people.
