The Easiest Way to Learn Scales & Jamming

Posted Wednesday, December 30, 2015

We are two young music entrepreneurs from Finland. Our dream and passion is to bring music making available and easy for those, who love to jam and play an instrument, but struggle with complex music theory. Our MusiClock app is based on an internationally awarded (grand prize in European Union Contest for Young Scientists), groundbreaking music-learning tool that allows people to improvise great sounding melodies with a real instrument with absolute zero musical background. MusiClock app is all about clarifying and transforming the hard and dull task of learning scales into an extremely simple, fun and motivating process. MusiClock truly enables people to learn, because they can start jamming with the piano or guitar without having to struggle with scales and keys. And the best part is that jamming and playing scales sounds always great! Apple featured MusiClock a couple of weeks ago as one of the best new apps in Europe and Africa. The idea for MusiClock came a couple of years ago as my brother struggled to learn music theory in order to practise jamming and improvisation. In particular, he found that the connection between notes and different scales was presented in a very abstract and complex manner, which made it painful and time-consuming to learn them by heart. This is a problem that millions of other musicians struggle with as well. Music theory is often considered hard to learn and is one of the biggest reasons why people lose interest in their music hobby and quit playing. In order to play a decent melody or just to jam with your friends in a given key you have to know the right notes and scales, which is an arduous task to master. Our mission to overcome the unnecessary obstacles of music theory and make jamming as easy as possible for beginners. Please consider featuring us on Launching Next.
