Tracking seizures with a smartwatch

Neutun tracks and measures seizures through the Pebble and Apple smart watches. Starting with devices with accelerometers seems like a novel solution to condition tracking, but it is highly effective for the purposes of tonic clonic (grand mal) seizures. Current solutions were made before popular wearables (such as Pebble and Fitbit) and needed to build the hardware, along with software and distribution, out of necessity. With this data, we intend to build a multi device and health condition platform that can perform medical research at scale. We’re taking advantage of existing hardware and distribution to drastically reduce costs and cycle times, while increasing product quality and value.
