MySpiroo is a remote electronic peak flow meter communicating with a smartphone app and online medical platform. It improves the care of everyday care by allowing instantly assessing the respiratory function, sharing the results with the physician or alerting the caregiver. MySpiroo fills the gap in carepath between the patient and caregiver (child and mother, working kids and elderly parents) by reassuring and notifying in real-time. MySpiroo project is developed by the HealthUp, a team that combines strong mobile, technology and medical competences and is focused on development of mobile health solutions. MySpiroo has been created to address real needs of million of patients around the world by utilized mobile technologies in medicine.We aim to address needs of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients (approx. 400 mln in the world). Their main problem are recurrent dyspnoea attacks and need for regular monitoring of the degree of bronchial obstruction. Caregivers have limited control over the real patient status, which may change rapidly.
