Clowdy gives those working in the creative industry a platform to collate their life’s work and the network to grow their career. The creative industry provides 2 million jobs in the UK. It’s a $400bn global industry that we will disrupt. PROBLEM Clowdy solves two problems in the creative industry. First, creative people don't have a résumé like most because their history is about their projects and art, not where they worked. As a result they don't use LinkedIn and often struggle to get work. Secondly, often many contribute to a project but few are recognised. When a project is uploaded it’s usually only the uploader that gets the end credit and not the session players, vocalists, editors, producers, etc – they are unrecognised. SOLUTION 1. When a project is published, the uploader credits everyone who contributed to the project. Like AngelList when adding an investor to a company. 2. A profile is automatically created for anyone credited on a project. 3. Problems solved! Contributors get recognition, even those behind the scenes are given an identity with rich profiles that act as a CV – making it easier to get work. Clowdy creates a graph of connections that previously didn’t exist and it creates a new source of metadata valuable to recruiters and agencies. Since we set out to solve these problems in the creative industry, we’ve had explosive growth to over 100,000 projects.
