Hello LaunchingNext staff! My name is Daniel, I’m the co-founder of fenestra. First of all, thank you very much for taking the time to check us out. Sites like LaunchingNext are EXTREMELY helpful for startups like fenestra (running on a shoestring budget). We are really excited to finally show our creation. I'll try and make my pitch short and sweet. Our product is called fenestra (latin for window), it's the world's first and only smart window. fenestra motorizes your sliding windows and allows them to open and close automatically based on a desired temperature, the weather forecast, or a schedule which you set in your phone. I REALLY think our product is unique, offers clear benefits and would be a great addition to LaunchingNext because: -It's improves people's health - By automatically opening and closing the windows in your home at precisely the right time, fresh air from the outdoors can circulate seamlessly through your home, flushing out dirty and stuffy air in the process. FACT- Air inside your home is dirty, in fact, it's 10x as dirty as the air outside. -It saves people money - The increased air flow caused by opening windows allows people to decrease the use of their A/C which helps lower their energy bills. FACT - People spend a lot of money cooling their home and selectively opening your windows instead of using your air-conditioner can lower your bills on average 10% to 30%. In recap, it improves your health and saves you money. (Everyone likes to be healthy and save cash right?) I'm an allergy sufferer myself and I know firsthand the difference fresh air can make. I've had fenestra installed in my apartment for over a year and it WORKS.
