Throughout the history of photography, people have been using traditional methods to click images. Being a skill based endeavour, there is very little standardization and absolutely no standard pricing. Our mission at Pictor is to make product imaging standardized and the process more transparent by using technology. Our mobile application Pictor Product Photography is a step in that direction. Pictor is an android app which lets users get photographs adhering to e-commerce standards. While the app guides the user to set up the right environment for photography and helps them click using their mobile phone, our associated professional post-production service makes sure that each image that we deliver goes through multiple layers of retouching and inspection, giving you images which can be used in online retail. When using the Pictor app, the user browses through a list of suggested angles for the product type and photographs it using his setup. Once the image is captured, the algorithms suggest any changes required in the photograph to make it editable in the post-processing service and allows the user to reshoot it. After the photography is done the product and its images are uploaded to the server for post production. At Pictor we are focused on creating a seamless production system so that one can quickly and conveniently get the edited product images. We have built a custom platform to automate most of the steps before and after the image editing process. However, to get the finer details and provide the users with the best quality, we do retouch the images manually with our team of professional graphic artists. The final output of the image reaches the user within 2 to 3 working days. The user can let us know any special requirements using the messages section in each product. To avail the post-production service, the user has to recharge his account from the available recharge packages. Each recharge entitles the user to send us the appropriate number photographs for retouching.
